Man is a tent in which God desires to live and display Himself to the world. If you see a mature man filled with God's Spirit, you see the heart of God in what that man does. If you see and immature man without the Spirit of God, you witness the corruption that a selfish creature apart from God can demonstrate. The greatest priviledge of man is to display the Glory/nature of God and that requires "Not I but Christ" living in and thru me.

How often I have had complaints, thoughts as well as verbalizing, about bearing "my" cross. As I was reading the other day I ran across this bit of truth that pierced me thru and thru.

Joseph Tson, Romanian leader who was oft persecuted for his faith said: "Our cross is not for propitiation; our cross is for propagation"

Lord may I learn to rejoice always rather than complain that I might advance the gospel rather than hinder it.

"But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us." (Ezra 4:3)
When the Jews returned from their Babylonian captivity, they had been authorized by King Cyrus to rebuild their temple. Zerubbabel, their governor, and Jeshua, the high priest, re-established the ancient offerings and laid the foundations of the temple. But then a problem surfaced. The people of the land, who were practicing a corrupt monotheism, offered to join with them in the project. Zerubbabel and Jeshua wisely rejected it.
The wisdom of this harsh rebuff soon became evident. The compromisers then tried other ways to destroy the project. Since they were unable to subvert it by infiltration, they used political and social pressures to try to corrupt God's people and prevent the reestablishment of true faith in the land.
The principle involved in this record is timeless. To be honoring to the Lord and fruitful in His service, the Lord's work must be done only by His own people, without compromise in doctrine or practice.
Christians and Christian organizations today are subjected to repeated temptations to compromise with the world system, especially to humanistic philosophies, but this is the surest route to ultimate defeat. "Beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness" (2 Peter 3:17).
This principle, if we follow Ezra's example, applies even to cooperation with other believers who compromise with the world (e.g., "theistic" evolution). Such compromise soon permeates the ranks even of the faithful, so must not be introduced at all. HMM

I marvel at the amount of faith the atheist has to be able to believe from nothing + time = everything.

ITS TIME

It's time to redeem the time. Rising prices, increased violence, failing government, road rage, obesity explosion, it does'nt look good for human kind. Does worry or fear have a place in your life? We give control of our lives each day to other than the ones who need to control our lives. Authority is scorned, parents disrespected, drugs, fun and be happy reign supreme. There is a way out of our delima as individuals, and as a nation. BUT will you and I make the commitment, take the risk, accept the responsibility to take the way out? Its not easy, but it is simple, the way out is not for the fainthearted. However weakness is an advantage, but pride throws up an impenitrable barrier. You will be mocked and ridiculed if you take this way, mocked by the world, your "friends" and your enemies. However there is never a dull moment on this way. You cant just give it a try, you must give yourself wholly to it. Who is willing?
