"Prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world." (Philippians 2:15) The fishermen who Jesus called to be fishers of men, did not fish with hook and bait. That way of fishing depends on deceit. Take a hook and hide it with bait, ie. have a rock concert to draw people then set the hook, such a false concept. We do not hook them anyway. Those fishermen fished at night, hung lights off the side of the boat and cast their nets, catching the fish the light drew to the net. Today as the above scripture states we are to appear as lights in the world which will draw men and we simply cast the net of the gospel, proclaim it as it were and God will do the the catching, and the work He begins He will finish. As we yield to Holy Spirits control He develops in us Christlikeness which is light, the lost are drawn by Christ in us, we proclaim His gospel which is the power of God to salvation, and He does the rest. We are not salesmen nor deal closers as I was taught early on in my Christian life. So let your light shine and cast the net of the gospel, He will amaze you at what He can and will do with your life if we yield to His ownership.
PS, imagine in the little fishing pond above and your curser is light, place it away from the fish and watch the fish come to the light. If we could cast a net some would swim into it and be caught and some would not, but that is all up to God.

Man is a tent in which God desires to live and display Himself to the world. If you see a mature man filled with God's Spirit, you see the heart of God in what that man does. If you see and immature man without the Spirit of God, you witness the corruption that a selfish creature apart from God can demonstrate. The greatest priviledge of man is to display the Glory/nature of God and that requires "Not I but Christ" living in and thru me.
